Just wanted to share these B E A U TIFUL piccy's of givenchy fall 2010 couture collection inspired by the human anatomy. EMBROIDERY DEGREE SHOW 2010! Well done ladies everything looked amazing, I will miss you ever so much, good luck xxx
Ok so before the degree show, which was in JUNE? (Sorry this is so late people) I started to make a collection of embellished fabrics aimed towards a fashion market. Inspired by the landscape of the Lake District and a mixture of natural imagery, I combine hand and machine stitch to create tactile embellishments. The new embellishment had to have luxurious and expensive quality, therefore I inserted beading, crystals and sequins in darker colours to represent the darker background colours found within the woodlands. Here are the results of my most successful samples on a larger scale modelled by the lovely Jo Mandel. The photographs were taken by Lorna Berry.

The work was named “Hidden Treasures” and is display in the Westwood office....named after the talented Vivienne Westwood. It’s intention is to create a tactile and organic contrast against the modern exterior of the office, hopefully transporting the viewer into a world of fantasy, imagination and discovery.

I need to apologise about my lack of interaction with my blog and from now on I WILL make regular updates! A lot has changed since my last post! During my absence I have been working on a commission for Beachcroft Law firm, located in the Spinningfields Manchester. This was a massive challenge for my practice as I have never worked on a large scale before. For this project I proposed to make a soft relief piece inspired by a mixture of natural imagery and the writings of Lewis Carroll and Maurice Sendak.
